Job summary

Qualifications

• Experienced teacher, preferably in a community-based student care centre.
• Positive disposition, caring, nurturing, and loves children.
• Able to guide P1-P6 students with their homework and curriculum assessments.
• Well-versed in English and Chinese (written and spoken).

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Supervision and Support: To provide homework supervision, spelling/ 听 写 revision, monitor student progress, and ensure the safety of children during their time at the care center.
2. Activity Planning / Execution: In addition to school's homework support, to come up with lesson plan incorporating a variety of activities including the centre's core and enrichment programs, outdoor activities and recreational programs. To plan holiday programmes with a fun array of activities to engage students and promote their holistic development. To effectively carry out the lesson plan.
3. Classroom Management: To create a conducive learning environment and set appropriate rules for behavior.
4. Communication with Parents: Regular and prompt communication with parents about their child's progress and well-being.
5. Safety and Well-being: Ensuring safety and well-being of students at all times when they are under our centre's care.
6. Housekeeping and Administrative: Upkeep of premises and ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned by centre manager.

Requirements

1. Experienced teacher, preferably in a community-based student care centre.

2. Positive disposition, caring, nurturing and loves children.

3. Able to guide P1-P6 students with their homework/ curriculum assessments assigned and done in our centre.

4. To be well-versed in English and Chinese (written and spoken) to be able to effectively guide the students with their homework, revisions and spelling / 听 写.

5. Students currently awaiting results for tertiary education with a passion for teaching can also be considered for part-time roles during the Primary School Holidays.
