Overview

As an experienced Student Care Manager, you will support students’ academic and personal success through case management, mentoring, and early-intervention work. This role will coordinate wellbeing and engagement initiatives that build belonging, resilience, and leadership within the School of Humanities, while working closely with faculty, student leaders, and university offices to ensure every student feels supported and empowered.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Support students’ academic and personal success through case management, mentoring, and early-intervention activities.
  • Coordinate wellbeing and engagement initiatives that foster belonging, resilience, and leadership.
  • Collaborate with faculty, student leaders, and university offices to ensure students feel supported and empowered.
Qualifications
  • Compassionate, proactive, and able to engage with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills; ability to connect effectively with Gen Z students.
  • Highly organized with experience managing a portfolio of monitored cases and confident in project and task management.
  • Excellent report-writing skills; ability to document case developments and outcomes clearly and professionally.
  • Comfortable using creative tools such as Canva for presentations, posters, HTML emails, or simple websites, and CapCut for short videos and student-focused content.
  • Familiar with, or willing to learn, collaborative workspace and productivity tools such as Notion or Microsoft Loop.
  • Holds a recognised degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Education, or a related field, with relevant experience in student care, youth development, or higher-education support.
