Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily structural and RC works on site to ensure proper execution and compliance with design and specifications.
- Ensure all works adhere to structural drawings, Professional Engineer (PE) designs, and approved method statements.
- Coordinate and manage rebar fixing, formwork erection, concreting, post-tensioning (PT), and steelworks assembly activities.
- Arrange and facilitate inspections with RTO / RE prior to concreting and other critical construction stages.
- Monitor and track subcontractor performance, manpower deployment, work progress, and construction sequencing.
- Identify and report discrepancies, site variations, and unforeseen conditions to the Structural Engineer or Project Manager promptly.
- Ensure proper quality control and assurance (QA/QC), including cube tests, slump tests, rebar inspections, and concrete pour records.
- Enforce compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, ensuring safe work practices for working at height, lifting operations, and excavation works.
- Assist in resolving technical and site-related issues to maintain construction efficiency and quality standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or NITEC in Civil Engineering, Building, or Construction discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant site experience in reinforced concrete (RC) or steel structure building works.
- Good understanding of structural drawings, construction sequencing, and site coordination.
- Familiar with BCA, WSH, and relevant construction codes and standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to supervise subcontractors and manage site activities effectively.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under tight schedules.
