A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Structural Engineer to develop connection details and coordinate steel framing layouts. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams, providing technical support and performing site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and has experience with Tekla software. This role demands strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Develop connection details, member sizing, and steel framing layouts.
Review and coordinate shop drawings from steel fabricators and subcontractors.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Provide technical support during fabrication, delivery, and installation of steel structures.
Perform site inspections to verify compliance with design, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Ensure all designs follow relevant engineering codes, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Assist in resolving design issues, structural clashes, and technical queries from site.
Support the project team in planning, scheduling, and managing the structural design portion of the project.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Basic knowledge of steel structural design and construction processes.
Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Tekla and Revit.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, load calculations, and structural behaviour.Good communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to solve technical problems independently.
Willing to attend site meetings and conduct site inspections when required.
At least two years experience to using Tekla Model for Structural Steelworks.
