Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Structural Engineer to manage structural designs, review plans, and ensure compliance with local regulations. The role involves coordinating with multiple disciplines, implementing quality control measures, and leading a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will possess 8-15 years of experience in construction projects and have a strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures. Key Responsibilities

Structural Design & Review

  • Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and specifications
  • Ensure designs are compliant with local building codes, standards, and project requirements
  • Identify and resolve design issues, structural conflicts, and constructability challenges

Project Coordination & Management

  • Coordinate structural works with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines
  • Plan and monitor structural construction sequences, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors

Quality & Compliance

  • Implement quality control procedures for structural works
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards
  • Conduct inspections and site audits to verify workmanship and adherence to design

Team Leadership & Support

  • Lead and mentor structural engineers, coordinators, and site personnel
  • Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions
  • Support value engineering, risk assessment, and problem‑solving initiatives
