Summary:
As a key member of the Strategic Planning team, you will carry out industry, value chain, and business feasibility analysis to support top management in strategic decision-making. You will participate directly in the Group’s development projects, taking up coordination and execution responsibilities. Such projects may include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and green-field or brown-field developments.
In this role, you will also support top management on strategic mapping exercises and long-range planning. Additionally, you will coordinate and facilitate discussions in senior management meetings on key business matters, such as Investment Committee and Board meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess the company’s goals and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with executives and managers to develop long-range strategic.
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends, pricing, and market dynamics.
- Monitor business climate, technology trends, and government activity impacting business performance.
- Collaborate with business units to produce profitable business and product plans; evaluate periodically.
- Serve as negotiator with third parties for potential mergers or acquisitions.
- Drive successful implementation of strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Corporate office.
- Formulate plans, initiatives, and measures to support Apical’s strategies.
- Identify trends and emerging issues impacting strategies; recommend alternative actions.
- Perform legal research and develop policy recommendations for emerging risks and opportunities.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate resource allocation.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators and performance management reviews.
- Lead market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand/ product awareness, and competition.
- Track progress of work plans and improve management reporting tools.
- Provide secretariat duties for management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively and demonstrate influencing and negotiation skills.
- Lead cross-functional projects and ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives.
Job requirement :
- Good degree in Engineering, Accountancy, Business Administration, Mathematics, or Sciences from a reputable university. MBA, ACCA, CFA will be considered favorably.
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategic planning preferred. Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply
- Exposure to agribusiness, energy, or continuous manufacturing sector is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of strategic planning, corporate finance, and investment principles.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to convey ideas and recommendations to senior management through compelling presentations.
