Job summary

ATLAS Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations, business development, project performance and strategic growth. The role requires strong leadership across all functions and a proven track record in delivering complex projects safely, on time and within budget.

You will drive profitability, manage client relationships, contracts and tenders, and coordinate cross-functional teams from project to finance and HR.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years or more of relevant industry experience, including senior management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore's construction, engineering, process, oil & gas, or manpower-intensive contracting environment.
• Experience managing multiple projects, departments, and operational teams.
• Familiarity with Singapore MOM regulations, Workplace Safety and Health requirements, and employment practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day operations and business activities.
• Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and growth initiatives.
• Oversee project execution to meet safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Monitor financial performance including revenue, costs, and project margins.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and clients.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and partners.
• Review major quotations, tenders, contracts and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate commercial terms, variations, and claims.
• Coordinate activities of Project, Operations, Commercial, Finance, HR, Administration, Procurement, and Safety.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for departments and projects.
• Ensure adequate manpower, equipment, and resources for projects.
• Drive productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement.
• Promote compliance with regulations and safety culture.
• Lead and develop managers and staff for succession planning.
• Conduct regular management and project performance reviews.
