Airwallex in Singapore seeks a Counsel, Product Legal, Financial Partnerships to shape legal strategy for our global banking network. You will work with Financial Partnerships, Product and Risk teams to structure and scale complex deals, including issuing, payments, and embedded finance, while embedding AI into contracting workflows.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer, including top-tier law firm and/or in-house in fintech, payments, banking or adjacent financial services.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and regulatory-sensitive agreements across multiple regions.
• Demonstrated ability to build and improve legal processes, playbooks and templates for efficient contracting at scale.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence senior leaders in a fast-moving environment.
• Qualified to practice law in a common law jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, England & Wales, US, Australia).

Responsabilités

• Lead negotiations with banking partners, payment schemes and financial institutions using playbooks and AI-enabled workflows.
• Maintain documentation hygiene with centralized deal trackers and contract repositories integrated with AI tooling.
• Design and improve contracting processes, templates, and handoffs to product and risk owners.
• Champion AI tools in Product Legal to drive faster, higher-quality workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Financial Partnerships, Regulatory Legal, Risk and Commercial teams on new products, regions and complex deal structures.
• Advise executives on risk-weighted options and trade-offs in high-value partnerships.
