Job summary

ASM is seeking a Specialist, Purchasing to secure direct materials for manufacturing and customer commitments in a fast-paced semiconductor environment. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, manage purchase orders, monitor deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and drive supplier performance to maintain continuous supply.

This role requires five years of purchasing experience, strong SAP skills, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in ASM's diverse, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing of direct materials to support production requirements and customer demand.
• Create, issue, confirm, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders to ensure accurate supply execution.
• Monitor material deliveries and drive supplier performance to meet production schedules.
• Proactively engage suppliers to mitigate supply risks and support continuity of supply.
• Coordinate supply activities during product transfer projects to ensure smooth transitions.
• Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies and goods receipt issues with internal stakeholders.
