The opportunity

As a Strategic Account Manager - Hyperscale, you serve as the high-level liaison between Hitachi Energy and its most significant Hyperscale partners across the Asia Pacific. You are responsible for navigating the complex executive landscapes of these industry giants, building trust with C‑suite leaders and key decision‑makers to align their massive energy needs with our regional capabilities. By driving cross‑functional collaboration between our business units and local in‑country teams, you will secure the long‑term, sustainable growth of our premier accounts, ensuring Hitachi Energy remains their partner of choice as they scale across the region.

How you’ll make an impact
  • You will serve as the strategic lead for Hitachi Energy’s premier Hyperscale accounts, ensuring long‑term partnership stability and alignment with their regional growth objectives.

  • You will act as the definitive single point of contact, spearheading high‑stakes technical and commercial negotiations to secure favorable outcomes for both the customer and the business.

  • You will orchestrate comprehensive account reviews and sales strategies, leveraging a deep understanding of customer stakeholders and internal processes to unlock new business opportunities.

  • You will identify and qualify high‑value opportunities at the earliest stages, collaborating across business units to deliver innovative solutions that address complex customer needs.

  • You will lead high‑priority 'Capture Teams' and 'Must Win' initiatives, maintaining a rigorous pipeline and utilizing global sales tools to ensure disciplined execution.

  • You will drive the Market Insights and Market Outlook (MIMO) process, providing critical bottom‑up intelligence and accurate long‑term demand forecasting to steer regional strategy.

  • You will champion Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, fostering a culture of accountability and care for colleagues, customers, and the community.

  • You will aggressively expand the data center service business, identifying untapped revenue streams within your assigned accounts to maximize lifecycle value.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
  • Bachelor’s degree in business / engineering with 10 years of professional experience working in Sales & Marketing, Account Management and/or Engineering.

  • Relevant Account Management Skillsets, driven to build, grow and maintain positive relationships with every level of executives, enhance current relationships and build new ones within the assigned accounts.

  • Good understanding of the data center ecosystem and equipped with engineering know-how of the entire electrical infrastructure is highly preferred.

  • Wide networking experiences with Data Center customers (a must), assisting in developing the market to enhance the business.

  • A profound sense of quality and keen interest in complexities driven, with clarity that Speed to Market is important to customers, and persistence in achieving goals.

  • Experience in value‑based and strategic selling, to take the lead in high level sales engagements is an asset.

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, leadership, and strong priority.

  • Flexible for business travel within APAC region based on customer's needs
