The Logistics Supervisor supports the Project Manager in overseeing non-core supply processing functions. This role is responsible for coordinating manpower, monitoring site operations, and ensuring that all project activities meet quality, safety, and timeline requirements.
The Logistics Supervisor also leads and guides the Logistic Officers in daily operations to ensure smooth execution of tasks in compliance with the client’s standards.
The Logistics Supervisor should be meticulous and empathetic team leader, strong people-management skills, committed and results-driven. Required to be security cleared up to CAT 2A.
Job scope:
Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and deploying manpower to meet project requirements.
- Oversee and supervise on-site operations, ensuring quality service delivery to the Authority.
- Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain safety standards and enforce site safety requirements across all operations.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Process and carry stores as when required.
- Stuffing/unstuffing of stores
- Loading/unloading of items from vessels
- Setting up of events and exhibitions including manual labour required by the client under supervision
- Ushering and marshalling works under the weather
- Manage warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring accuracy and accountability of stock.
- Support procurement processes, including verification, preparation, monitoring, and tracking.
- Provide end-to-end material support using the Authority’s IT systems, including maintaining Material Master Data.
- Prepare and submit monthly management and audit reports in the required format.
- Participate in incident and accident reporting and assist in investigations.
Oversee logistics support functions, such as:
- Managing and maintaining units’ store records in the Authority’s IT systems.
- Conducting stocktaking as instructed.
- Indenting rations and transport as required.
- Providing manpower support for unit events and activities.
- Receiving goods from the Authority’s contractors.
Supervise administrative and operational support activities, including document handling, data compilation, and material movement.
- Support administrative processing such as disposal facilitation as instructed by the units.
- Assist in the management of buildings and infrastructure, including trainee accommodation planning.
- Escort the Authority’s contractors within base/camp, including from guardhouse to units and back.
- Oversee management of conference facilities (auditoriums, halls), including scheduling, AV setup, and general housekeeping.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project and operational needs.
Job requirements:
- Minimum ITE certification or equivalent
- Literacy in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Medically fit to perform the functions stated in the scope of work
- Preferred to have at least three years of working experience in Supply Chain or Logistics Management, with knowledge in stock management and experience in using Procurement IT Systems (e.g. SAP) optional/preferred
