Job summary

A logistics company in Singapore is seeking an operational supervisor to facilitate daily store operations. Responsibilities include optimizing routes for drivers, managing dispatchers, and ensuring efficient delivery processes. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and the ability to manage logistical tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and supervise daily operations at the store.
• Learn and utilize the dedicated transport management system.
• Assign and optimize routes for drivers.
• Allocate tasks for dispatchers and ensure execution.
• Fill in for dispatcher when necessary.
• Monitor drivers and ensure they load goods before delivery.
• Handle failed deliveries and communicate with store managers.
• Coach and evaluate dispatchers.

Job description

Duties include responsible for facilitating and supervising day to day operations at a store and work along side with store managers, dispathcers and drivers effectively to make sure entire operation run smoothly and drivers able to achive delivery on time (DOT)

1. Learn and familiarize dedicated transport management system

2. Assign and optimize best routes for driver to ensure utmost optimal path are allocating for each drivers

3. Allocating task for dispatchers and make sure they execute task accodingly

4. When in need, you will need to fill in despatcher role including

• 4.1 Scanning QR code
• 4.2 Collecting totes and cooler box from basement to dispatch area
• 4.3 Loading goods from dispatch area to loading bay at basement for drivers to collect

5. Monitoring and ensure each driver load all the goods to van before leaving for delivery

6. Ensure all failed delivery from driver return to the person in charge at the store

7. Communiate and sync with other store managers and person in charge on dedicated communication platform to ensure operation run smoothly

8. Maintain dispatcher job results by coaching, planning, monitoring and appraising job results
