Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall supermarket operations through effective execution of operational policies and procedures to maximise sales and profit in order to achieve overall business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the store performance, ensuring sales, profit, and customer satisfaction targets are consistently met.
  • Lead and inspire the operations team, driving excellence in merchandising, service standards, and day‑to‑day execution.
  • Uphold compliance with SOPs, HR policies, and food safety regulations, embedding discipline and accountability across all departments.
  • Shape business strategies and action plans that maximize sales, margins, and profitability while keeping shrinkage under control.
  • Monitor market trends and customer behaviours to anticipate changes and keep the store ahead of competitors.
  • Translate corporate directives into clear operational practices, ensuring merchandising and inventory strategies are implemented seamlessly.
  • Balance stock levels and turnover to maintain strong product availability while optimizing efficiency.
  • Manage operating costs through productivity tools and performance measurements, ensuring resources are used effectively.
  • Maintain strong communication with the team through daily walk‑throughs, briefings, and updates on objectives, customer feedback, and sales results.
  • Coach and mentor staff to build a motivated, high‑performing team culture.
  • Support the store with additional duties as required to ensure smooth operations.
