Store Manager – MBS Flagship Store
Location: Marina Bay Sands (MBS), Singapore

The Store Manager is fully accountable for the overall performance of the MBS flagship store, including sales results, team leadership, customer experience, brand execution, and operational excellence. This role requires a hands‑on retail leader who thrives in a premium environment and understands the expectations of discerning local and international clientele.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Sales Performance
- Own and deliver store sales targets, KPIs, and profitability metrics
- Analyse sales performance, customer traffic, conversion rates, and basket size to identify growth opportunities
- Drive upselling, cross‑selling, and clienteling initiatives aligned with a premium service model
- Execute product launches, in‑store activations, and brand campaigns in line with HQ guidelines
Customer Experience & Brand Standards
- Champion a best‑in‑class customer journey that reflects HEC’s premium, minimal‑luxury brand positioning
- Act as a brand ambassador, delivering confident product knowledge and storytelling (including wellness and functional benefits)
- Handle escalated customer feedback and service recovery with professionalism and empathy
- Ensure consistent visual merchandising and store presentation at all times
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and retain a high‑performing retail team
- Set clear expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and manage staff KPIs
- Lead by example on the shop floor, especially during peak trading periods
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and service‑oriented team culture
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing, rostering, inventory management, and cash handling
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, MBS mall regulations, and Singapore employment guidelines
- Manage stock accuracy, replenishment, shrinkage control, and monthly stocktakes
- Liaise with HQ on reporting, staffing, and operational requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of retail experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager role
- Prior experience in premium, luxury, wellness, beauty, or lifestyle retail is highly preferred
- Must have hands‑on experience and working knowledge of Cordyceps and traditional herbs (e.g. traditional Chinese herbs or herbal wellness products), with the ability to confidently explain benefits, usage, and quality differences to customers
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high‑traffic flagship stores
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with both local and international clientele
- Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
