An international school in Singapore is seeking a temporary candidate to assess and catalog educational technologies. Responsibilities include inspecting items, organizing them logically, and accurately recording data. Candidates should be tech-savvy with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The role offers flexible working hours and a 2 to 3 month duration.
Canadian International School – Jurong Town
Working Hour: Mon - Fri (4 - 5 hours a day)
Duration: 2 to 3 months
Assessment: Physically inspect each item to assess its condition for usability (e.g., working, damaged, missing parts, needs maintenance).
Organization: Group similar items and accessories into logical categories (e.g., by brand, function, or project type).
Cataloguing: Accurately record detailed information for each item, including but not limited
Barcoding: Print and affix barcodes to each item in a consistent and secure manner.
Documentation: Maintain clear and concise records of all catalogued items in the designated database or spreadsheet.
Familiarity with a wide range of instructional technologies, including robotics kits (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics), educational technology devices, electronics tools, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and their accessories.
Ability to quickly learn about new and unfamiliar technologies as they are encountered.
Basic troubleshooting skills to assess the functionality and usability of equipment.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cataloguing and data entry.
Excellent organizational skills to categorize items logically and maintain a tidy workspace.
Ability to work systematically through a large inventory of items.
Ability to lift and move equipment of varying sizes and weights (within safety guidelines).
Comfort with handling delicate electronic components and tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data entry and manipulation.
Experience with or a quick ability to learn inventory management software or database systems.
Comfortable using barcode scanners and associated software.
Clear and effective communication skills to report progress and any issues to the project supervisor.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members.
