Job summary

OLAM COCOA PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Boiler Operations & Monitoring professional in Singapore.

You will operate natural gas and biomass boilers, ensuring a stable steam supply to meet production needs and monitor critical boiler parameters. The role requires a Diploma in Engineering or related discipline, a minimum of 5 years in food processing, and a valid Steam Engineer Certificate (Grade 1 or 2).

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food processing or related industry.
• Must hold valid Steam Engineer Certificate (Grade 1 or Grade 2).
• Proven experience operating Natural Gas Steam Boilers (≥5 years).
• Experience with Biomass Boilers is an added advantage.
• Forklift driving license is a plus.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate natural gas and biomass boilers within defined safe operating limits.
• Ensure stable and continuous steam supply to meet production demands.
• Monitor boiler parameters (ESP, pressure, temperature, water level, NG usage).
• Adjust boiler output per production needs and load fluctuations.
• Troubleshoot pressure and steam supply issues promptly.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of boiler systems.
• Support plant shutdowns and statutory inspections.
• Ensure compliance with WSH, PPE, LOTO, and PTW requirements.
• Maintain safe boiler house conditions at all times.
• Maintain records of boiler parameters, steam output, CMMS, water and NG usage.
• Audit readiness and participate in safety observations and incident reporting.
• Coordinate steam demand with production teams and supervise external contractors.

Boiler Operations & Monitoring

• Operate natural gas and biomass boilers within defined safe operating limits
• Ensure stable and continuous steam supply to meet production demands
• Monitor boiler parameters including ESP, pressure, temperature, water level, and NG consumption
• Adjust boiler output in response to production requirements and load fluctuations
• Troubleshoot pressure and steam supply issues promptly

Maintenance & Compliance

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of boiler systems
• Support plant shutdown activities and statutory inspections
• Ensure full compliance with WSH, PPE, LOTO, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements
• Maintain safe and orderly boiler house conditions at all times

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of boiler parameters, steam output, CMMS, Wet scrubber, water and NG usage
• Ensure all operational data is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
• Participate actively in audits, safety observations (SOR), and incident reporting

Coordination & Supervision

• Work closely with production teams to coordinate steam demand and supply
• Supervise and manage external contractors working in the boiler area

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food processing or a related industry
• Mandatory: Valid Steam Engineer Certificate (Grade 1 or Grade 2)
• Proven experience operating Natural Gas Steam Boilers (minimum 5 years)
• Experience handling Biomass Boilers is an added advantage
• Valid forklift driving license is a plus
• Willingness and ability to work 12-hour rotational shifts
