Job summary
A leading connector technology manufacturer located in Singapore is seeking a production operator for stamping processes. Responsibilities include meeting production targets, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has NTC 3 in Mechanical Engineering and one year of experience in the stamping industry, preferably in high-speed environments.
Qualifications

Job Responsibilities
- To meet daily production targeted output and defined quality requirements.
- Ensure defined KPI’s like OEE, PPM etc. are met for the stamping APU.
- Run production and perform quality check on the part as per the check list and record data in relevant forms.
- Escalate quality or other issues if found, during production run and record data in related documents like OEE/TEEP, PPM, Production film, Changeover log card, Go first part, Red bin pareto, Kaizen board, Production analysis board, TRMO.
- MFG Pro transaction and SPC input.
- Carry out simple adjustment to tooling to ensure good quality part.
- Load and unload metal coil from the decoiler according to the Stamping Process Sheet and pass strip.
- Prepare slug drums and press ancillary equipment during tool changeover.
- Ensure 5S in and around the stamping press as per the defined norms.
- Conduct re-work, re-screen and sorting work as and when necessary.
- Assist in set up of tooling in the press and unloading of the tooling, as and when necessary.
- Ensure that the slug drum is not full and cutting oil etc. as per the checklist are verified and recorded when starting production. Top up or changing of cutting oil when necessary.
- Slug drums to be moved to storage location after use.
- Strictly compliance to safe work practice and maintain high safety standard.
Job Requirements
- Min NTC 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Min one year experience in stamping industry
- Preferably with 2 to 3 years in high speed stamping experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of stamping safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing process
- Demonstrated knowledge of analytical problem/issue in stamping process
- Demonstrated knowledge stamping equipment associated with electronic connector technology
- Demonstrated ability to perform inspection Profile projector
- Ability to train others to perform inspection
- Pleasant, hardworking and a team player
- Able to work independently with minimum guidance
