Role Overview

The Stage Manager will be the creative and operational lead responsible for elevating BTC Bollywood’s entertainment experience. This role manages a team of performance artists, oversees choreography across multiple dance forms, ensures compliance and safety, and drives the artistic vision of the club. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally talented dancer and leader who can design fresh, exciting performances that align with guest expectations and brand positioning.

This role is both creative and commercial, contributing to show quality and driving business through innovative entertainment programming.

Key Responsibilities

Performance & Artistic Leadership

• Design, choreograph, and supervise high-quality performances across various dance styles including Bollywood, fusion, contemporary, classical, and other bespoke client requests.
• Continuously develop new show concepts, themed nights, and special performances to enhance guest engagement and increase repeat footfall.
• Conduct rehearsals, artist training, and performance quality checks to maintain world‑class standards.

Team Leadership & Talent Management

• Lead, manage, and mentor a diverse team of performance artists and dancers.
• Oversee discipline, punctuality, grooming, and overall professionalism of all performing talent.
• Identify, negotiate, and onboard new talents specializing in Bollywood and related dance forms.
• Build a performance roster ensuring variety, creativity, and consistency.

Operational & Compliance Responsibilities

• Ensure all performances comply with Singapore’s entertainment regulations and club policies.
• Coordinate closely with sound, lighting, stage crew, and operations team for smooth show execution.
• Maintain safety protocols for performers, stage equipment, and backstage operations.
• Ensure timely documentation, attendance tracking, and incident reporting where necessary.

Business & Experience Enhancement

• Work with management and marketing teams to design entertainment that attracts high-value guests and drives business.
• Support VIP bespoke requests and special client performances.
• Provide creative input for marketing campaigns, photo/video shoots, and brand content.
• Analyse crowd response and performance metrics to improve show formats.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Stage Manager, Choreographer, Lead Dancer, or Performance Director (preferably in Bollywood or entertainment venues).
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Dance, or related field.
• Exceptionally skilled dancer with mastery in Bollywood and at least two additional dance forms.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent understanding of choreography, stage production, lighting, and sound coordination.
• Ability to handle high‑pressure environments and tight performance schedules.
• Must be fluent in English, Hindi, and one regional Indian language (Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali, etc.).
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with hiring and managing talent.
• Creative mindset with commercial awareness of nightlife trends.
