Job description
Stage Director (Live Music & Entertainment)

Restaurant Bar with Nightly Live Performances

Position: Stage Director / Entertainment Stage Director

Location: Singapore (Central area – vibrant dining & nightlife district)

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: S$4,000 TO $4,500 per month (depending on experience) + performance bonuses.

Start Date: Immediate

We are a premium restaurant-bar venue in Singapore specialising in elevated dining paired with high-quality live music every night. Our space features an intimate stage for bands, solo artists, jazz ensembles, acoustic sets, singer-songwriters, and occasional tribute/cover acts. We blend sophisticated F&B (cocktails, craft beers, modern Asian-Western fusion menu) with a lively yet classy atmosphere — think live jazz nights, soul/R&B weekends, and occasional pop/indie showcases. Capacity: ~120–150 seated + standing. We are seeking a creative, energetic, and organised Stage Director to own the live entertainment program and ensure every performance runs flawlessly from load-in to encore.

Key Responsibilities

Curate and book weekly/monthly live music lineup (local & regional artists, occasional international guests)

Serve as primary point of contact for all performing artists: handle contracts, riders, tech specs, schedules, and hospitality

Design stage setup, lighting plots, and sound requirements in collaboration with in-house sound & lighting technicians

Direct on-stage flow: run rehearsals/soundchecks, cue musicians, manage transitions, and handle any on-the-night adjustments

Oversee stage crew during shows (backline, monitors, lighting operators)

Coordinate with FOH manager, bar team, and kitchen to align service with performance schedule (e.g., quiet during ballads, upbeat during high-energy sets)

Maintain stage & back-of-house equipment; manage artist green room & rider fulfilment

Track performance feedback, attendance trends, and artist payouts

Assist in marketing: provide content ideas, photos/videos for social media, and help promote upcoming shows

Ensure safety, noise compliance, and a positive experience for artists, staff, and guests

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has;

3+ years of professional experience in live music production, stage management, or entertainment direction (venues, festivals, bars/clubs, or theatre)

Strong knowledge of live sound, lighting, and stage logistics.

Proven track record working with musicians/artists (handling riders, egos, and last-minute changes).

Excellent organisational skills and calm under pressure.

Great communication and people skills (you’ll deal with artists, crew, and management daily).

Passion for live music across genres (jazz, pop, indie, acoustic, R&B, etc.)

Highly Valued: Previous experience in restaurant/bar/live music hybrid venues.

Contacts in the Singapore/regional music scene (local musicians, agents, labels).

Basic technical knowledge (able to patch simple sound/lighting setups if needed).

Experience with event budgeting, artist payments, and contract negotiation.

Creative eye for stage presentation & visuals that enhance the dining experience.
