We are in search of a Facility Management expert who will lead the daily operations of our facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained, safe, and embody our commitment to excellence, compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and the highest health and safety standards.
In your new role, you will:
- Facility Operations Management:
Oversee daily operations of the facilities to ensure they are well-maintained and safe, and that all activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, health and safety standards. - Act as the first point of contact for all facility-related issues, including space planning, renovations, and maintenance.
- Manage preventive and reactive maintenance activities for the facility's plant, equipment, and systems.
- Develop and implement energy-efficient strategies for the site, helping to reduce utility costs and improve sustainability.
- Coordinate with internal FM teams to ensure consistency of FM operations.
- Manage existing vendors such as canteen and café operators in the building.
- Vendor & Contractor Management:
Manage and oversee external service providers, including security personnel, cleaning services, and technical maintenance staff. - Negotiate service contracts, ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and monitor vendor performance.
- Coordinate with service providers to ensure the facility's needs are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Project Management:
Lead and manage renovation projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets. - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and work with contractors, architects, and other service providers to ensure quality and efficiency in facility improvements.
- Space Planning and Workplace Optimization:
Plan and coordinate space utilization as well as execute site improvement and renovation projects. - Lead workplace strategy initiatives to enhance employee productivity and satisfaction, incorporating new technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to anticipate space needs and adjust accordingly.
- Budgeting & Cost Management:
Develop, manage, and track the facility-related budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, including energy-efficient measures and process improvements.
- Monitor and analyze spending trends, and proactively address potential budgetary concerns.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- At least 8 years of experience as a Facility Staff Specialist / Manager or in a similar role, specifically managing complex sites with exposure to lab/cleanroom environments in high-tech industries.
- Strong experience in managing external service providers such as security, maintenance, and cleaning services.
- Proven experience in managing critical environments (cleanrooms, labs).
- Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and implementing energy efficiency measures.
- Must be EHS certified (e.g., BizSAFE Level 3 or higher, ECO, or WSQ qualifications).
- In-depth knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and maintenance programmes.
- Familiarity with space planning, facility optimisation, equipment upgrades, and project management.
- Proficient in budgeting and cost management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to facility challenges.
