Job summary

PayPal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Singapore to lead complex software initiatives, design scalable systems, and mentor engineers. You will collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams, applying strong Java, Spring, Hibernate expertise and hands‑on coding with AI tooling to improve velocity and quality.

You will participate in a balanced hybrid work model, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, driving best practices and reliable, secure deployments for payment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years hands‑on Java development experience with OO design.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, REST, and Maven in large-scale apps.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead projects, coordinate engineers, and set technical standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems with high performance.
• Write clean, well‑tested code; focus on quality and maintainability.
• Plan releases and coordinate with domain teams for smooth deployments.
