Job summary

Zscaler, a leading AI-forward cybersecurity company, is hiring a hands-on Staff Software Engineer in Singapore. You will lead key product capabilities, own complex technical initiatives, and shape architecture while guiding other engineers in a hybrid work setup.

You will collaborate with product and research teams, leveraging AI/ML to strengthen security and reliability across cloud-native platforms, with ownership across problem definition to production operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software‑engineering experience leading complex production systems.
• Deep expertise in systems engineering, distributed systems, security engineering, backend platforms, or endpoint software.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, and Python.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of major product capabilities, owning projects from problem definition through implementation, rollout, and production operation.
• Design secure, reliable and scalable systems with clear trust boundaries balancing security, privacy, performance, reliability and usability.
• Lead complex investigations while improving engineering practices, testing and operational readiness.
• Mentor engineers and provide direction through design and code reviews.
• Partner with product and research teams while contributing to technical strategy and longer-term architecture.
