Job summary

AVANTSI SEMITECH PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Optical Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced optical solutions for semiconductor packaging and test equipment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to move concepts from prototype to production, ensuring performance, reliability, and integration across subsystems. The role requires hands-on optical path design, component selection, and testing, with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in optics or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in optical system design and integration.
• Hands-on experience with optical path design, alignment and testing.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop optical systems for semiconductor packaging and test equipment to meet performance and integration requirements.
• Select and specify optical components including lenses, cameras, light sources, filters, and beam splitters for system optimization.
• Perform optical alignment, assembly, testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure system functionality and quality.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate optical systems into complete equipment solutions.
• Support prototype development, equipment qualification, and production troubleshooting to maintain product reliability.
• Lead optical system development and make technical decisions to drive project success based on experience.

Job Summary

• Design and develop optical systems for semiconductor packaging and test equipment to meet performance and integration requirements
• Select and specify optical components including lenses, cameras, light sources, filters, and beam splitters for system optimization

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Semiconductor equipment experience to enhance system design and integration effectiveness
• Proficiency in Chinese communication to facilitate collaboration with diverse teams and partners
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or related field
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in optical system design and integration
• Hands-on experience in optical path design, component selection, alignment, and testing
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems
• Good English communication skills
