Job description

• Assessing assigned patients, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care.
• Identify the necessary equipment, prepare for, and assist physicians during examinations.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the registered nurse's scope of practice.
• Provide direct nursing care, comfort measures, emotional support to patients under the direction of the physician.
• Promptly screens patients with signs or symptoms of illness.
• Works with the clinical team for appropriate treatment, plan of care and disposition.
• Apply principles of infection control.
• Ensures patient monitoring and follow up.
• Initiates standard emergency procedures until Provider or EMS is available.
• Maintains clinical documentation within the medical records assuring compliance within all guidelines.
• Maintain clinic rooms to a high standard of cleanliness and stocked to the appropriate levels.
• Perform nursing procedures such as blood sampling, injections, wound dressing
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing
• Preferably 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Must have fully registered SNB and valid BCLS
