Job summary

Jamiyah Singapore is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents in a geriatric setting, including assessment, monitoring, and care plan evaluation.

You will collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams, document care accurately, advocate for residents’ rights, educate families on health topics, and uphold safety and infection control in a compassionate, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Registered Nurse from SNB.
• Experience as staff nurse, preferably in long-term care or geriatric setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of their physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that address residents' health needs and promote well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care plans, medication administration, progress notes, and communications.
• Advocate for residents' rights, dignity, and autonomy throughout the care process.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
• Educate residents and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care techniques.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of their physical, emotional, and social needs.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Registered Nurse from SNB
• Relevant experience as a staff nurse, preferably in a long-term care or geriatric setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of nursing best practices, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Compassion, empathy, and patience in working with residents with diverse physical and cognitive abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
