Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Staff Nurse for our dialysis center in Singapore. You will deliver life-sustaining dialysis treatments, build trusted relationships with patients and families, and work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Nursing.
• Registration with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Min 1 year as Registered Nurse in Singapore.
• Advanced training in hemodialysis is a plus, renal nurse experience is required.
• Certified and valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care within the hemodialysis clinical setting.
• Undertakes clinical/patient assessments pre, during and post dialysis treatment to evaluate care effectiveness.
• Reviews blood test results and reports abnormalities to Medical Director.
• Educates patients on diet, fluid, medications and blood pressure management to optimise outcomes.
• Maintains accurate patient information in TDMS/EuClid and follows Privacy policies.
• Establishes relationships with patients and communicates with patients and relatives.
• Ensures a safe working environment and reports equipment defects.
• Participates in quality improvement by reporting incidents and hazards.

What you’ll achieve

As a Staff Nurse, you’ll deliver life‑sustaining care to patients with chronic kidney disease. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, provide dialysis treatments, monitor patient progress, and offer compassionate support that makes a real difference every single day.

You will:

• Participates in the planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care within the hemodialysis clinical setting.
• Undertakes clinical/patient assessments pre, during and post dialysis treatment to evaluate effectiveness of care
• Adheres to all FMC Policies and Work Instructions related to clinical and operation management
• Reviews blood test results and report to Medical Director of any abnormalities
• Educates patients on their diet, fluid, medications and blood pressure management to optimise their clinical outcomes
• Motivates and encourages patient’s adjustment to CHD
• Monitors the water treatment system and fluid for dialysis to ensure provision of safe, quality dialysis therapies
• Establish an effective relationship with patients and maintain good communication with patients and relatives; and give adequate support.
• Ensures/promotes a safe, secure and healthy working environment to staff and a comfortable, safe environment for visitors and patients as detailed in the IPC and environment policies
• Ensure all equipment is clean, safe and in good working condition; and report defects through appropriate channels.
• Maintains accurate patient information in medical records, including Therapy Data Management System (TDMS)/EuClid Clinical Information system and abides by confidentiality and Privacy Policy.
• Protects the rights of patients by adhering to Privacy Principles and providing an excellent standard of care
• Actively participates in the quality improvement process by reporting all incidents, hazards and opportunities for improvement

Requirements
