Job description
Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Care & Patient Support

  • Greet and attend to patients with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a calm and reassuring experience.
  • Assess patients’ needs, triage MRI requests from referring clinicians, and monitor patient status throughout their MRI procedures.
  • Plan and implement personalized, safe, and cost-effective nursing care tailored to individual patient assessments.
  • Perform pre-scan risk assessments and prepare for contrast cannulation; observe for extravasation and manage post-contrast adverse events.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to coordinate procedures and interventions.
  • Evaluate and document patient responses to care and treatment.

2. Administrative & Operational Duties

  • Manage MRI appointment bookings and clinical listings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and update clinical documentation, equipment checklists, and MRI safety forms in compliance with MOH/HCSA regulations.
  • Perform inventory checks, initiate purchase orders, and ensure timely restocking of medical supplies and consumables.
  • Provide clinical mentoring to Clinic Assistants on MRI safety practices and emergency response protocols (e.g., Code Blue).
  • Guide and educate patients and families on post-MRI care instructions and address any concerns.

3. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Support internal audits and MOH readiness by ensuring proper record-keeping and adherence to clinical protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical audits, and nursing practice reviews.
  • Ensure infection control measures and patient confidentiality (PDPA) are strictly followed.

4. Team Support & Professional Development

  • Supervise and support junior staff in delivering clinical excellence and service quality.
  • Contribute to staff training, clinical upskilling, and workflow improvements.
  • Engage in continuous learning, research initiatives, and projects assigned by the Nurse Manager or Centre Director.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification:

  • Registered Nurse with a Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
  • Senior/Staff Nurses (SR/SPR) are welcome to apply.

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in diagnostic imaging, radiology nursing, or outpatient clinic settings is advantageous.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and patient assessment skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and clinical documentation tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care abilities.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety and emergency protocols is a plus.
