Job summary

Western Digital Corporation is seeking an entry-level AI/ML engineer to join their focused AI team in Singapore. You will own real responsibilities from day one, including experiment tracking, data quality validation, and CNN-based model development for image classification and defect detection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• AI major or strong research focus in degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Experiment Tracking & Evaluation Reporting: Own MLflow experiment logging for assigned team model runs and produce evaluation reports.
• Training Data Quality Validation: Validate training datasets with feature distribution checks, label verification, and anomaly flagging.
• Deep Learning Model Contribution: Build and train CNN-based models for image classification and defect detection under guidance.
• ML Pipeline Contribution: Package models in Docker; contribute to CI/CD scripts and run inference tests.
