Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. invites applications for a Data Scientist in the SMAI (Smart Manufacturing AI) Global OI – Scheduling and Simulation team. The role focuses on designing and implementing advanced scheduling, optimization, and simulation solutions to drive fab performance.

Location: Singapore (Travel overseas required). The candidate will design and develop AI solutions for factory scheduling and simulation, collaborating across global sites to improve production metrics and benchmarking.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in factory scheduling, optimization modeling, or simulation in a manufacturing/ops context.
• Knowledge and experience in optimization (LP, MIP, meta-heuristics) and tools like CPLEX/Gurobi strongly preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in discrete event simulation and reinforcement learning preferred.
• Direct experience with factory scheduling preferred.
• Willingness to travel overseas.

• Knowledge and experience in optimization (LP, MIP, meta‑heuristics) and tools like CPLEX/Gurobi strongly preferred.
