Momcozy seeks a Staff Data Platform Engineer to lead architecture and hands-on delivery of a modern data platform. You will drive regional alignment while enabling distributed teams with secure, reliable development and operations.

This role is 0-to-1 for an overseas data platform with strict data isolation and no direct access to raw data content. You will work across Singapore and China, influencing across data, product, security, and business teams, and contribute to design reviews, releases,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent
• 8+ years in data platforms or distributed systems
• Strong Python/SQL/Spark and data processing experience
• Cloud infra, lakehouse, IAM, IaC, CI/CD, observability

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve a data architecture on lakehouse platforms
• Define the target data stack and assess fit of dbt, MetricFlow, semantic layers, orchestration, and BI services
• Build development, testing, and production environments with CI/CD for code, data models, and infra
• Establish platform standards and technical decision practices across regions
• Collaborate with data, product, engineering, security, and business teams to craft technical solutions
• Contribute to implementation, design reviews, releases, troubleshooting, and incident reviews
• Improve reliability, security, performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience
