Job description

Nutanix is seeking a Sr. Staff Consulting Architect with strong expertise in designing and delivery of AI Solutions and Architecture. Candidates possessing additional strong experience in Containerization platforms as well as virtualization and hybrid cloud will have an added advantage to step into the role to lead complex enterprise transformation initiatives for our end customers across APJ.

This senior technical leadership role combines AI, Kubernetes, virtualization and cloud architecture to deliver secure, scalable and production-ready solutions. The architect will advise senior stakeholders from customers, lead strategic engagements, mentor consultants, and design and deliver reusable architectures and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive workshops to understand customer’s AI requirements, work with sales to design enterprise architecture comprising of Nutanix Platform as a solution.
• Design and document detailed high level and low-level solution design pre-dominantly requiring Nutanix AI and Kubernetes platform that fits customer’s requirement. The solution may be deployed across private cloud, public cloud and/or hybrid environments.
• Lead customer discovery, architecture workshops and transformation roadmaps with senior stakeholders.
• Architect AI platforms supporting GPU-enabled Kubernetes, model deployment, inference, RAG and enterprise AI workloads.
• Design scalable Kubernetes platforms covering compute, GPU, networking, storage, security and observability.
• Apply strong hands-on experience to deploy Nutanix solution in customer’s environment.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex AI, Kubernetes, virtualization and cloud challenges.
• Develop reusable reference architectures, design patterns, implementation guides and consulting IP.
• Mentor Staff Consulting Architects and Consultants and strengthen regional technical capability.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Support and Solutions teams to provide field feedback and influence solution direction.
• Support strategic pre-sales engagements as a senior technical SME.

What You Will Bring

• 15+ years of overall experience across infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, Kubernetes, AI/ML or enterprise architecture. Most recent experience in designing and deploying AI solutions is a must.
• Strong experience with AI and Kubernetes/cloud-native technologies.
• Proven experience designing hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
• Strong understanding of GPU infrastructure and enterprise AI/ML platforms.
• Experience with GenAI, RAG, model serving and MLOps/LLMOps.
• Strong knowledge of networking, storage, security and automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, APIs, CI/CD and GitOps.
• Strong troubleshooting and architecture skills across virtualization, Kubernetes, networking, storage, GPU and AI platforms.
• Expertise in Nutanix AHV or equivalent virtualization platforms is desirable.
• Excellent customer-facing, consulting, presentation and executive communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading regional/APJ customer engagements.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin with strong communication skills across technical and executive stakeholders.
• Nutanix certifications such as NCP, NAI or NCX.
• CKA/CKAD or equivalent Kubernetes certification.
• Experience with NVIDIA GPU technologies and enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible and public-cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with SDN, micro-segmentation and Zero Trust architectures.
• Act as a senior technical authority and trusted advisor for strategic APJ customers.
• Lead complex and ambiguous architecture challenges from discovery through execution.
• Connect AI, Kubernetes, virtualization and hybrid cloud into practical enterprise solutions.
• Balance innovation with security, performance, scalability, reliability, cost and operational sustainability.
• Mentor architects and consultants and raise regional technical capability.
• Convert customer and field experience into reusable architectures, methodologies and intellectual property.
