The Global Logistics organizationis responsible fordefining and managing “Stock-to-Deliver” and “Order Management, ATP and Fulfilment” processes globally. This includes overseeing over 120 locations and ensuring seamless operations across all business segments and movement types.
Thelogisticsorganization includes sourcing functions that support regionallogisticsand fulfillment operations. TheSr Staff Commodity Managerrole is embedded within thelogisticsteam and focuses on supplier engagement and procurement activities that directlyimpactlogisticsperformance.
About the role - you will:
- Be responsible forstrategicsourcing, primarilyfocusingonfreight servicesandcontractlogistics, to supportregionallogisticsand fulfillment operations.
- Independently drives and executes Seagate’slogisticssourcing initiatives - multiple RFPs/ tenders/ contract negotiations in a year.
- Negotiates and completes contracts withhighly complexand critical suppliers.
- Drive competitive sourcing process with Seagate e-sourcing tool to ensure fairness and transparency andidentifybest in class suppliers based on comprehensive data analysis.
- Conduct market research to understand trends, pricing, availability, and emerging suppliers or technologies tohelpmakinginformed decisions about sourcing and cost optimization.
- Work across multiple time zones with cross functional teamsas a team player in multi-modal, cross-region synergiesto develop sourcing strategies to ensure supply base is consistent with roadmap andoperationsrequirements.
- Drive cost saving initiatives toidentifyopportunities to reduce total cost of ownership through consolidation of suppliers, volume, operating sites, or other cost-effective alternatives.
- Support operational initiatives and special projects, offeringexpertiseinlogisticsand operational planning to improve departmental effectiveness.
- Maintain,evaluate,and rationalizevendorrelationshipsthroughvendor management programs.
About you:
- Demonstrates excellence in both collaborative team environments and independent work.
- Proficient in English with strong writing & communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word,Exceland Power Point)
- Confident indeliveringpresentations to all levels of management, including executive leadership, to secure support for team sourcingdecisionsand strategies.
- Ability to travel as per business needs for supplier engagement, on-sitemeetings, and teamcollaboration.
- Strong ability to partner withlogisticssuppliers in forward-thinking strategic development and relationship building.
- Ability to multi-task andnavigatebetweenstrategic & hands-on work effectively.
- Ability to close complexsourcingprojectsand commercialdealsina timelyfashion.
Your experience includes:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics,Engineeringand/or Business Administration.
- Strongexperience inlogisticsor supplychains,or relatedfunctions.
- Proven performer inlogisticsprocurement, contractmanagementand vendor management.
- Know-howof developing Air & Ocean Freight,RoadTransportation/ Cross Border Trucking/Last-mileand SmallParcel/Courieror Warehousing modes.
- Strongknowledge oflogisticsmarketplace and commercial pricing of any of thelogisticsmodes.
- Negotiation oflogisticscommercials andtimelymanagement of contractual agreements
- Stronganalytical and data modelling skills.
- Experience with procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or specialized e-sourcing platforms like E-Bravo) is an added advantage.
- Collaboration within team environments and building partnerships with externalsuppliersand internal stakeholders.

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations.
