Job summary

GECO Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive automation initiatives across enterprise applications. The candidate will lead automation efforts, define testing strategies, and collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

You will design and maintain automated test solutions, integrate testing into CI/CD, and mentor peers while contributing to functional testing activities and test data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related discipline.
• 10–12 years IT experience.
• 6–7 years in Test Automation/Quality Engineering/Software Testing.
• Proven experience leading automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
• Lead test automation initiatives using Karate Framework and Playwright.
• Create, maintain, and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Perform hands-on functional testing alongside automation activities.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks, reusable test assets, and test data management processes.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis activities.
• Participate in release planning, sprint activities, and quality governance processes.

We are seeking a SeniorQA Automation Engineer to drive quality engineering and test automation initiatives across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Karate Framework, Playwright, Maven, and CI/CD automation, while also actively participating in functional testing activities.

This role requires a seasoned quality engineering professional who can lead automation efforts, define testing strategies, implement scalable test frameworks, and collaborate closely with development, product, and business teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
• Lead test automation initiatives using Karate Framework and Playwright.
• Create, maintain, and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Perform hands-on functional testing alongside automation activities.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10-12 years of overall IT experience.
• 6-7 years of relevant experience in Test Automation, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
• Proven experience leading automation initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Karate Framework for API and UI test automation.
• Strong experience with Playwright for browser automation and end-to-end testing.
• Experience using Maven for build and dependency management.
• Experience working with RIO or similar CI/CD pipeline platforms.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Strong experience in API Testing, UI Testing, and End-to-End Test Automation.
• Hands-on experience performing Functional Testing in conjunction with automation testing.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practices.
• Experience with defect management, root cause analysis, and quality reporting.
