A healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to support Sports Medicine services. This role involves developing exercise testing and prescription programmes for various populations and conducting outcome audits. Candidates should have a relevant degree and ideally 3 years of clinical experience, particularly with national athletes. Training opportunities will be provided.
The Exercise Physiologist will be supporting Sports Medicine services under the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He/she will assist the Sports Physician in the application of physical activity and behavioural interventions where they have been scientifically proven to provide therapeutic or functional benefit. He/she will help develop exercise testing and prescription programmes for healthy and clinical populations, as well as individuals with controlled disease. He/she will also help conduct audits to track the outcomes of these programmes as well as research related activities. He/She would be involved in continuing medical education programmes for clinical staff and trainees, as well as the public. He/she would also be required to undergo further training, including attachments to other sports medicine and sports science institutes.
