Overview
As a Information System Line Support Engineer, you will be part of a 24/7 shift team responsible for first-tier technical support. Your role includes maintaining IT service availability, ensuring machine connectivity, monitoring application performance, managing data transfers, and updating reports. You will also track, escalate, and resolve incidents and service requests related to FIS applications, basic networking, databases, servers, and Info Security compliance to maintain a safe production environment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 24x7 shift pattern, providing around-the-clock support to ensure continuous factory operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Receives and handles requests for service, following agreed procedures.
- Identify and diagnose issues and problems per guidance.
- Promptly escalate complex or unresolved incidents.
- Logs of incidents and service requests and maintain relevant records.
- Identifies and classifies incident types and service interruptions.
- Records of incidents cataloging them by symptoms and resolution.
- Systematically interprets user problems and identifies solutions and possible side effects.
- Work with Global team to quickly respond to diagnose problems to get systems back and running or responding per requirement.
- Support Info Security compliance and make sure all factory clients are in a safe environment and align with global policy.
Qualifications
- Educational background in IT/Computer Diploma or related field.
- Proficiency in basic Computer skills and Microsoft tools.
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and familiar with VM environment.
- Skills in data analysis, Statistics and Programming (e.g., .NET, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++) will be added advantage
- Software development experience in Rest API, Web backend, database SQL and No-SQL. DevOps CI/CD will be added advantage
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to perform under pressure in dynamic environments
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills in English
