Vantive Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead costing, internal controls and financial reporting for the manufacturing operations. You will partner with operations to ensure data accuracy and control effectiveness.

The role requires a degree in accounting (or ACCA) with extensive experience in product costing, manufacturing finance, and business partnering. A strong focus on process improvement and SOX compliance is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Product costing experience and good interpersonal skills.

  • Ensure integrity of all financial data, controls and business practices.
  • Create simple, common processes to drive operational excellence.
  • Act as trusted business partner leveraging financial and business expertise to drive great decisions.
  • Lead internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Drive lean finance processes and value stream improvements for automation and efficiency.
  • Support operations with budgeting, forecasts and performance analysis.
  • Provide value-added training to operations and contribute to cost optimization initiatives.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports and deliver timely financial insights.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure no financial surprises.

a. Regular review of costing data to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

b. Work closely with operations to keep abreast of activities having financial impact.

c. Update supervisor and division of financial exposure.

2. Ensure financial records are in compliance with statutory requirement

a. Establish financial policies and procedures.

b. Liaise with auditors and divisions for information required for audit.

3. Corporate Governance and Internal Controls

a. Establish policies and procedures to ensure adequacy of internal controls to safeguard assets.

b. Establish procedure to ensure compliance to policies.

c. Make recommendation to operations on internal controls.

d. Ensure compliance to Sarbanes Oxley Act and Corporate Policies.

e. Ensure that there are adequate mitigating controls to offset any segregation of duties conflicts.

4. Ensure reliable, meaningful and timely financial reporting.

a. Establish financial closing deadlines and schedules.

b. Regular accounts reconciliation is completed and items resolved timely.

5. Streamline & improve finance processes.

a. Use lean tools such as value stream mapping to review processes for improvements such as automation, elimination of non-value added activities.

b. Create participating environment to encourage team to suggest ideas for improvement.

6. Business partner with operations.

a. Key contributor to the comprehensives business planning process, including long range plans, operation plan, annual budget package, quarterly forecasts and new product/ process analysis.

b. Prepare weekly/monthly reports

c. Provide value add training to operations.

7. Lead value creation and operational excellence initiatives by challenging business assumptions and processes and by soliciting and understanding customer needs. Support future Finance initiatives to improve business partner support. Develop innovative tools and analysis models to understand profitability, enable business decisions and improve information flow.

Qualification / Education
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
Skill Set / Experience
  • Degree/ACCA with Min 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably with experience in manufacturing environment.
