Role: Senior Automation Engineer (Rail Systems)

Navsar Global is seeking a highly experienced and technically adept Senior Automation Engineer to provide critical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of advanced automated rail systems. This is a challenging 12-month contract opportunity based in Singapore, offering the chance to contribute to cutting-edge transportation infrastructure and shape the future of urban mobility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership:Spearhead the technical system design for state-of-the-art automated rail solutions, including advanced CBTC GoA 4 systems, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards.
  • Design & Development:Lead the end-to-end design, development, and seamless integration of complex automation solutions, meticulously crafting design documents and detailed specifications.
  • Project Collaboration:Work closely with project management teams to meticulously define project objectives, strategize delivery plans, and ensure all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • System Integration:Orchestrate the coordination of intricate application implementations with diverse international partners, guaranteeing the robust integration of various railway subsystems.
  • Performance & Validation:Develop and critically review system plans, conduct rigorous performance assessments, and execute comprehensive simulations to validate system throughput, reliability, and critical operational criteria.
  • Business Development Support:Actively identify and support the exploitation of new business opportunities, such as change requests, throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to strategic growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience:A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in automation engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role, specifically within the rail automation sector.
  • Technical Expertise:Profound technical knowledge of main railway project subsystems and their interdependencies.Extensive hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens Simatic experience is a significant advantage).Demonstrated proficiency with SCADA software, with specific experience in WinCC OA being highly desirable.Strong familiarity with critical rail automation concepts such as Automatic Train Control (ATC), Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC), and associated rolling stock interfacing.
  • Key Skills:Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a proven track record of guiding technical teams to success.Superior analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret and understand complex technical requirements and specifications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interfacing with various internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders.Solid understanding and practical experience with engineering processes and methodologies.
