Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Organize and control the team of spray painters to acheive best possible service quality and execute all jobs according to the repair order
• Determine the team capacity available based on flat rate units and maximize work bays and panel beater utilization in a way that promised delivery date can be kept
• Coordinate with both the panel beater foreman and panel beaters, mechanical foreman such that accident repairs process flot is not hindered in order to meet the deadline
• Inform the workshop planner, workshop manager on availability of spray painters
• Monitor the progress of work according to priorities agreed
• Ensure assessment and reactification work done correctly to address customer complaint
• Inform necessary additional repair works immediately to the Claims Advisor, inform on the possiblity of performing them and ask for approval
• Communicate with Claims Advisor on extra work to be done. If approved, enter the flat rates and the specification of such work in the repair order
• Communicate with parts department to bring in parts to meet customer deadline
• Ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of all work areas
• Ensure all staff observe all safety procedures - ie. safe working procedures and the use of persoonal protective gears
• Ensure paint mixer maintain and keep sufficient paint inventory for daily operation needs

Requirements

• At least 5- 8 years of relevant working experience as a spray painter working on major accident vehicle repairs with minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
• Min NTC 3 in Automotive Engineering or similar / Spray Painting Certificate
• Possess sound knowledge on Spray Painting
• Good team player who is self-driven and proactive
