Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a passionate Speech Therapist to join their Child Development Unit. The role involves assessing patients, planning therapy programs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to children under 7 with developmental concerns. Ideal candidates should have a recognized degree in Speech Therapy, strong communication skills, and experience in paediatrics is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Eligible for full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council.
  • Experience in Paediatrics will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients referred for speech therapy and implement appropriate treatment plans.
  • Plan and run group therapy programs with allied health team members.
  • Deliver caregiver education through individual coaching and workshops.
  • Comply with clinical and service standards.
  • Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support when appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical education programs for Speech Therapy students.
  • Contribute to related clinical research projects.

We are seeking a strong candidate to fill a full-time position at NUH Child Development Unit, where we see children under 7 years old with developmental, learning and behavioural concerns. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that is committed to provide holistic care for children and their families based on a family-centred and community-based approach.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for serving in the public sector to meet the healthcare needs of residents in Singapore. He/she should enjoy collaborative working as part of a multidisciplinary team in delivering patient-centred care and be driven to support or lead clinical and quality improvement initiatives. He/she should also be motivated to learn and grow personally, as well as to contribute to the growth of others and the team as whole.

Job Responsibilities
