Job summary

National University Hospital in Singapore is seeking a Speech Therapist to join the Child Development Unit. The role focuses on children under 7 with developmental concerns, within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to family-centered care, education, and research.

The successful candidate will participate in direct patient care, group therapy planning, caregiver coaching, and clinical education activities.

Qualifications

• Recognized Degree in Speech Therapy and eligible for full registration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Paediatrics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients referred for speech therapy and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Plan and run group therapy programs with allied health team members.
• Deliver caregiver education through individual coaching and workshops.
• Comply with clinical and service standards.
• Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support from supervisor/ other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
• Participate in clinical education programs for Speech Therapy students.
• Contribute to related clinical research projects.

We are seeking a strong candidate to fill a full-time position at NUH Child Development Unit, where we see children under 7 years old with developmental, learning and behavioural concerns. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that is committed to provide holistic care for children and their families based on a family-centred and community-based approach.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for serving in the public sector to meet the healthcare needs of residents in Singapore. He/she should enjoy collaborative working as part of a multidisciplinary team in delivering patient-centred care and be driven to support or lead clinical and quality improvement initiatives. He/she should also be motivated to learn and grow personally, as well as to contribute to the growth of others and the team as whole.
