RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Political Risk and Trade Credit Insurance Specialist Underwriter to join our Singapore team. The role is pivotal in growing our political risk and trade credit insurance portfolio in partnership with our Group's companies globally, ensuring sound underwriting and strong broker relationships.

• Underwrite political risk and credit insurance policies prudently and sustainably, balancing risk and business growth.
• Serve as the main conduit with our Global political risk and credit insurance teams, ensuring alignment on underwriting standards, claims handling, and portfolio performance.
• Manage broker engagement to drive quality submissions and strengthen market relationships.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) across underwriting and claims processes.
• Monitor and manage aggregate exposures, conduct portfolio analysis, and contribute to reporting and planning activities.
• Work closely with the Claims and Global teams to facilitate efficient and timely claims handling.
• Conduct training to facilitate knowledge transfer on portfolio analysis, market, regulatory, and political developments impacting the line of business.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Political Science, International Affairs or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in political risk, trade credit, structured finance, or related underwriting field

OTHER INFORMATION

• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, ability to interpret financial statements and credit ratings.
• Knowledge of global markets, sovereign risk, emerging markets, and trade finance instruments.
• Proven ability to collaborate across geographies and manage a portfolio of credit and political risk insurance policies.
