Specialist, Show Experience Technical OPs, Singapore Air Force Museum
To be responsible for show readiness of the Singapore Air Force Museum, for daily operations of interactive exhibits & sound/PA systems, and technical equipment & AVL systems for Museum events, in the areas of equipment operation and handling. To be responsible for the appropriate management/scheduling of and training for technical maintenance duty/works, and ensure that preventive maintenance works are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. To enforce all safety and security guidelines and access regulations for both staff members and contractors with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Enforce and adhere to Museum's SOPs and best practise & procedures.
- Produce detailed schedules which include technical maintenance workplans, staffing assignments and milestones for upcoming exhibit projects and tasks.
- Support the close working relationship with facility management for M&E works, and other operational departments by maintaining a master museum calendar.
- Schedule, facilitate and coordinate administrative procedures, including training and work safety documents for installation works etc to ensure safety compliance.
- Research and keep updated on latest interactive exhibit build and technology, and independently programme at least 1, and operate 2-3 technical equipment and systems.
- Carry out ongoing quality control evaluation on interactive exhibition maintenance operations, and carry out specialist repairs in at least 1 discipline of equipment and system.
- Work closely with exhibition development to provide direct and significant technical expert inputs to exhibit and content development, and design for future projects and remediation.
- Oversee the day to day operational readiness of FOH Operations, exhibits and closing duties, and respond to emergency situations for prompt repairs.
- Perform regular checks, coordinate repairs and document exhibition operatives in the Museum.
- Coordinate exhibition logistics and oversee contract labour for travelling exhibitions including load in and load out, installation and teardown.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 4/5 years of experience working in galleries/exhibits/events production/show tech (AVL, projection mapping etc).
- ITE/Diploma in Media Production, M/E Engineering or Equivalent.
- Candidates are required to perform heavy physical activity while performing duties of technical nature.
- Candidate must be comfortable with working at height.
- An interest and passion for Singapore's aviation history and technology.
- Self‑directed learner and problem solver who can perform under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Cultural understanding and empathy for diverse communities.
- Availability to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Team player.
- Certifications in First Aid/BizSafe L2/Scissors Lift will be an advantage.
- Service oriented and enjoy interacting with people.
