What the role is:

As a Specialist in the Bacteriology & Parasitology, Micro-Biological Lab Division of Water Quality Department, you will be involved in routine water quality testing, advanced microbial analytical methods developing and implementing to ensure robust water quality monitoring for water safety. Your main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to:

What you will be working on:

• To perform routine microbiological water quality testing
• To develop advanced microbial analysis methods for water quality monitoring
• To design and implement relevant microbial surveillance programme for emerging issues
• To conduct R&D studies and microbial risk assessment for emerging issues in microbial water quality
• To carry out administrative duties and any other related duties

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences or equivalent
• Experience in advanced microbiology analysis, including cell culture and molecular biology methodologies
• Knowledgeable and experienced in conducting microbial risk assessment
• Good written, communication and interpersonal skills, and able to work in a team-oriented environment
• Meticulous, resourceful, organised and self-driven with critical thinking skills
• Motivated, responsible and proactive individual
