Job summary

ASM is seeking an AI Financial Operations Specialist II to drive transparency and value realization across AI investments. You will help develop reporting, forecasting, and governance for AI consumption and costs, partnering with Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Financial Operations or technology finance, with strong analytical skills and experience in budgeting, cost management, and AI-related spending.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Financial Operations or technology finance, FP&A, IT financial management, or cost management.
• Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, or cost-management in a global organization.
• Knowledge of consumption-based technology cost models including cloud services, software licensing, data platforms, and AI-related services.

Job’s mission

As ASM continues to strengthen its digital, data, and AI capabilities, we are looking for an AI Financial Operations Specialist II to help bring transparency, accountability, and insight to AI investments across the organization.

In this role, you will support the development and execution of ASM’s AI Financial Operations practices, helping stakeholders understand AI consumption, costs, and value realization. By combining financial analysis, cost management, and business insight, you will enable informed decision-making that maximizes the value of AI while promoting responsible and efficient use of resources.

Working within the Value Realization Office and collaborating closely with Finance, Procurement, Data & AI Intelligence, Digital & AI Services, Infrastructure & Cloud, and business stakeholders, you will help establish reporting, forecasting, optimization, and governance practices that connect AI investments to measurable business outcomes.

What you will be working on

Support AI Financial Operations practices

• Support the development and continuous improvement of ASM’s AI Financial Operations processes, standards, and reporting practices.
• Help maintain visibility into AI-related costs and usage across models, copilots, agents, cloud services, data platforms, licenses, and vendor solutions.
• Contribute to establishing cost attribution and allocation methodologies that improve transparency and accountability.
• Support showback and chargeback processes in collaboration with Finance and other stakeholders.
• Assist in embedding AI cost considerations into business cases, planning cycles, and budgeting activities.

Analyze AI consumption and cost performance

• Monitor AI consumption and spending trends across platforms, services, and solutions.
• Analyze usage data and identify key cost drivers, anomalies, optimization opportunities, and potential risks.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and forecasts that provide visibility into AI investments.
• Support budget tracking, variance analysis, and cost forecasting activities.
• Partner with technical teams to identify opportunities that improve efficiency and optimize AI-related spending.
• Help develop reusable financial models and benchmarks for common AI solution patterns.

Support value realization and governance

• Partner with business and transformation stakeholders to establish cost baselines, value assumptions, and success measures.
• Track adoption, spending, and realized benefits across AI initiatives.
• Prepare data-driven insights and recommendations that support investment and governance discussions.
• Contribute to regular reporting on costs, forecasts, adoption metrics, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Help ensure financial data accuracy and consistency across reporting processes.

Contribute to vendor and commercial management

• Support reviews of AI pricing models, licensing structures, and vendor commercial arrangements.
• Assist in evaluating the total cost of ownership of AI-enabled solutions.
• Participate in reviews that promote cost-conscious and value-driven decision-making.
• Stay informed on emerging AI technologies, pricing trends, and industry best practices.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Financial Operations, technology finance, financial planning and analysis, IT financial management, cost management, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, or cost-management processes within a global organization.
• Knowledge of consumption-based technology cost models, including cloud services, software licensing, data platforms, and AI-related services.
• Experience performing financial analysis and interpreting complex usage, billing, or cost data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience preparing reports and communicating insights to business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, Procurement, Technology, and business teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
