The Specialist plays an important role in establishing a sustainable AR department in the BSO and will be actively contributing to the development of a top-performing department working with Accounts Receivables.

Core Responsibilities

Deliver high performance customer service for Customer Account Services (CAS) - Accounts Receivables processes and support the Team Lead in

handling other ad-hoc tasks.

This will include amongst other tasks:

  • Manage debt collection activities for the assigned countries within APAC region portfolio.

  • Super User for APAC Collections with active participation in global forums and co-lead to drive initiatives.

  • Follow up on overdue and collection as well as reporting to senior partners

  • Fronting Customers to resolve dispute and payment issues

  • Providing recommendation to Finance Business Partners in managing the Market Accounts Receivable aging and risk exposure

  • Actively and timely responds to internal/external customer requests to fulfill their expectations

  • Ensuring the aging and bad debts of the assigned BU meets the goals and coordinating the corrective actions to support/back-up the AR Manager

  • Driving optimization initiatives within own functional areas and ensuring compliance of company policies and procedures and smooth operations

  • Building and fostering good relationships with senior partners and demanding customers to meet their needs

  • Strategic collaboration with the Order to Cash team members to cater to their service needs and smoothen operations

  • Proactively supporting the service needs including advice to business teams, challenge business on credit risk, drive improvement in DSO and overdue

  • Building and strengthening professional network globally

  • Understanding the value of service provided and suggest continuous improvement ideas to enhance productivity and efficiency

  • Participating in projects that drives process simplification

  • Promoting regional/global process standardization

Do you have, what it takes?
  • App. 7+ years of demonstrated working experience from Finance function and preferably experience in international accounting or from a Shared Service organization

  • Experience of working and driving a highly collaborative environment in a global setting, promoting coherence and the end-to-end perspective

  • Superior interpersonal abilities and adept at effectively communicating with both internal and external customers

  • Personal drive and initiative, excellent collaboration skills and ability to build trust and credibility.

  • Microsoft Office and SAP at expert level

  • Working proficiency in written and spoken English and Japanese language to effectively support APAC market including Japan
