Job summary

GE Vernova Singapore Services Pte. Ltd. seeks an AMRT Special Process Development Engineer to develop and industrialize repair processes—welding, brazing, machining, surface prep, treatment, and inspection—for turbine components. You will contribute to automating repair workflows and ensuring transfer of processes to service centres.

You will validate materials and processes, document technical data, and drive continuous improvements across a global repair network while applying lean principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Welding, Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates welcome.
  • Basic experience with CAD software.
  • Basic computing experience.
  • Familiarity with Python, C++, or Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Understanding of lean methodology.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new manufacturing and repair process technology to assist component teams in implementing repair strategies or fulfilling factory NPI requirements.
  • This role will focus more on developing automation and robotics process.
  • Create a validation plan for repair materials/process technology in conjunction with New Repair Introduction engineers.
  • Ensure the successful transfer of development processes and validate repair service centres' qualifications and certifications for their repair procedures.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Provide continuous improvement support and seek opportunities to enhance processes across the repair network.
  • Utilise lean-manufacturing values for daily work and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacity.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change inside and outside the organization when appropriate.

Job Description Summary

In this role, as an Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology (AMRT) Special Process Development Engineer you will be responsible for developing & industrializing repair processes such as welding, brazing, machining, surface preparation & treatment, and inspection processes, on a variety of industrial gas turbine components to deliver value to our global GE Vernova business partners. You will be part of AMRT Repair Development team to standardise and develop processes for the global repair network to deliver quality and productivity.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Welding, Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Basic experience with CAD software.
  • Basic experience with computing.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of lean methodology.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 10% of the time, as required.
