Job Description
- Deliver clear and effective lessons using a variety of relevant teaching strategies for students with autism
 
- Play an important role in the planning and development of curriculum and programmes to facilitate student learning
 
- Exhibits deep commitment to the holistic education and development of students
 
- Work collaboratively with a multi‑disciplinary team and with parents in providing quality education and care for the students
 
- Understand students' diverse learning and developmental needs, interests, abilities and potential through observations, diagnoses and discussions (with students, parents and colleagues), and adapts approaches accordingly
 
- Work collaboratively with a multi‑professional team and parents in providing quality education and feedback for students.
 
- Plan and write IEP lesson plans, reports, records and documentation.
 
- Guide and coach Teacher Aides
 
Job Requirements
- Recognised Degree or Polytechnic Diploma
 
- Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education is preferred
 
- 5 credits in GCE 'O' level with a pass in English and Mathematics is mandatory
 
- Preferably 3 years of experience at primary level
 
- Familiar with national curriculum
 
- Demonstrate passion in teaching
 
- Experience in teaching children and youths with autism will be an added advantage
