JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Wellness, the Spa/Pool Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and comfort of guests using the spa and pool facilities. The role involves monitoring the spa & pool area, assisting guests, maintaining equipment, adhering to safety and hygiene protocols and upholding the highest standards of guest experience and care.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Guest Assistance
- Greet guests and provide information about spa/pool rules, services, and facilities.
- Assist guests with seating arrangements, towels, and other amenities.
Safety and Supervision
- Monitor pool activities to ensure guest safety and compliance with pool rules.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR if necessary.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues immediately.
Maintenance and Cleanliness
- Maintain the cleanliness of the spa changing rooms, pool area, including decks, lounge chairs, and surrounding areas.
- Ensure proper functioning of pool equipment and report issues to maintenance staff.
- Regularly check pool water quality and notify relevant personnel if adjustments are needed.
Administrative Duties
- Manage inventory of spa/pool supplies such as towels and ensure they are restocked as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of pool attendance and incident reports.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with lifeguards, maintenance staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Observe all brand/operating standards and/or LQA.
- Follow all workplace safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and incidents to the reporting manager immediately.
- Participate & contribute actively in all Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives organised by the Hotel.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong swimming skills and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Current CPR, First Aid, or Lifeguard certification (preferred).
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting.
- Flexible with working days and hours including weekends and public holidays.
