About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef with a strong foundation in Japanese cuisine to join a reputable dining establishment. You will work alongside a seasoned Japanese chef, supporting the delivery of high-quality woodfire yakitori dishes and ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
  • Maintain consistent food quality and presentation standards.
  • Uphold hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in managing inventory, controlling food costs, and optimizing kitchen efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to innovate and refine recipes and cooking methods.
  • Contribute to menu development incorporating authentic Japanese techniques and flavors.
Who are we looking for:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably with a focus on Japanese cuisine.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with woodfire cooking techniques is highly desirable.
  • Creative and passionate about culinary excellence.
