About the role

As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. This is a full-time role based in the Bukit Merah Central Region. You will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of culinary excellence. We run the brands under Enjoy Eating House and Bar.

What you'll be doing
  1. Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation and presentation
  2. Oversee the work of the kitchen team, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality
  3. Maintain kitchen organisation and cleanliness to comply with health and safety regulations
  4. Monitor food stock levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure consistent availability of ingredients
  5. Train and develop junior kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and culinary knowledge
  6. Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service
What we're looking for
  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to use the wok is a bonus.
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu design and cost control. With good knowledge on local Singaporean cuisine.
  3. Excellent time management and organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks
  4. A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality
  5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide leadership when required
